Today, Le Monde Fujigaya celebrates its 59th anniversary.
Looking at a photograph from the time of our founding, we are filled once again with deep gratitude—for the many years we have been able to continue our journey, and for the connections we have shared with so many people along the way.
To our longtime guests, members of our local community, our partners and supporters, and especially our staff who support the restaurant each day—
I extend my heartfelt thanks to you all.
This year, we were honored to be selected for the Shizuoka City Best Chef Award and to be featured on the cover of the Shizuoka City public relations magazine. These recognitions remind us once again how deeply we are supported by our community.
And starting this month, my son has joined the restaurant as a third-generation apprentice, taking a new step forward with us as we move toward our 60th year.
While cherishing the flavors and spirit that have been passed down through the years, we will continue sharing the appeal of Shizuoka ingredients and the enjoyment of Shizuoka tea through our cuisine.
